Allied Logistics started with the ambition to change logistics for the better back in 1990 by interviewing customers in the shipping industries about their pain points. Out of that, the result was a new vision: “Shipping made simple”. The story of the Allied Logistics began in Netherlands in 1990, with just a small cargo ship: The business has since grown and diversified to include a highly successful cruise line and passenger ferry services, as well as leading inland and port terminal infrastructure. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Group remains privately owned and focused on caring for customers, employees and the environment.

Allied Logistics started as a project to understand customer pain points and develop solutions to address them. The initial design was launched in 1990, bringing the first customer from the UK. Soon, Twill launched also in Spain.
